Get the crowd going with horn driven dance music.
The Transit Brothers play rock, blues, funk, jazz, and dance music.
Transit Brothers is a high-powered, Detroit-based horn band that puts the music front and center. With a rock-solid rhythm section, a blazing horn line, and a deep respect for the legends that shaped the sound for multiple generations, from Motown to Bruno Mars. Transit Brothers serves as the engine behind unforgettable tribute performances including the iconic Blues Brothers, to the feel-good anthems of Huey Lewis & The News, to the soulful brilliance of Stevie Wonder, and a wide-ranging revue of classic rock, soul, and funk —Transit Brothers doesn’t just play the hits, they bring them roaring back to life with precision, passion, and power. At the core of every show is the band itself: 10 musicians strong, driven by the music they love, and committed to delivering a live concert experience that’s impossible to forget.
The name Transit Brothers is a nod to the two horn-heavy powerhouses that inspired the band’s formation: Chicago Transit Authority (later known simply as Chicago) and the legendary Blues Brothers. These two groups not only shaped the band’s sound—they sparked its mission: to honor and perform the unforgettable music of artists who built their identity around bold brass sections, tight grooves, and big-stage energy.
From day one, Transit Brothers set out to channel that spirit—celebrating the golden age of live horns with a show that’s as musically rich as it is wildly entertaining, and pays tribute to the legendary horns bands from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and today.
